The family of a missing South Hill man who is developmentally disabled said he was released from a New Jersey hospital Friday and they do not know where he is now.
Cody Brown, 29, called a friend Thursday night and said he was going to the East Coast, the family told the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
He has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, and suffers from epilepsy and cerebral palsy, the department said.
The family learned Brown was treated Friday at Jersey City Medical Center, in Jersey City, between 1 and 3 p.m. EST, then released.
He’s believed to be in that area, or New York City.
His seizure disorder requires medication and close monitoring, the family said.
Brown is white, 5 foot 11, 180 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray t-shirt, and brown shoes. He has uneven pupils, and the right side of his face droops, the family said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
