Health department warns of possible measles exposure at airport

Staff writerJune 1, 2014

A child infected with measles may have exposed others to the disease last week at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the King County health department said Sunday.

The child was at the airport from 6:20 p.m. to 10 p.m. May 26, in Concourse A and the baggage claim area, according to Public Health Seattle & King County.

Anyone who might have been exposed should call a health care provider if they get a fever or unexplained rash between June 1 and June 16. Calling before visiting a medical facility is important, to keep from spreading the illness, the health department said.
