Buckley man killed in rollover crash

Staff writerJune 2, 2014

A 45-year-old Buckley man died Friday after rolling his classic car onto somebody’s property, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The man was identified as Christopher Arledge by the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office.

A resident in the 22600 block of 96th Street East called 911 Saturday morning after discovering a red 1969 Ford Mustang upside down in his yard.

The driver was apparently trapped beneath the car, which had it’s convertible top down at the time of the crash. It’s unclear what time the accident happened but it likely occurred Friday night.

“He left the roadway and hit a small ravine and the car flipped over on top of him,” sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

It's unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
