Missing South Hill man found in New Jersey

Staff writerJune 3, 2014

A developmentally disabled man who had been missing from his South Hill home was found in New Jersey, his family said.

Cody Brown, 29, went missing Thursday night, after he didn't return home from the South Hill Mall. He suffers from epilepsy and cerebral palsy, and requires medication to prevent grand mal seizures, his family said.

Brown reportedly called a friend Thursday to say he was going to the East Coast.

A Facebook group dedicated to Brown's return: "Bring Cody Brown Home," had a post late Monday that he had been found.

"We have just received information that he was being treated at a hospital in Newark, NJ and his parents have since made contact with him," he post said. "We do not have any specifics at this time but we want to thank everyone for their tireless effort and support."
