SR 16 ramps to Center Street reopened after rollover

A dump truck rolled onto its side Friday morning and is partially blocking the westbound state Route 16 off-ramp to Center Street, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident happened about 9 a.m. Speed is believed to be a factor, Washington State Patrol trooper Guy Gill said.

No major injuries were reported.

UPDATE as of 9:52 a.m.: The on-ramp to eastbound SR 16 at Center Street in Tacoma is now closed. Exit 1-C from westbound SR 16 remains closed as well.

UPDATE as of 11:46 a.m.: The accident has been cleared.
