Tacoma police have identified and arrested three men suspected of severely beating a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier outside a bar last month.
Two of the men, who are both 26, were booked into Pierce County Jail June 4 and later released. A 23-year-old man suspected of actually throwing the punch turned himself in with his attorney Wednesday night.
Prosecutors have not yet charged the men. The investigation is continuing.
Korry McClanahan suffered brain damage from the May 24 attack outside Steel Creek American Whiskey Co. at 1114 Broadway. He reportedly came out of his coma recently and is showing signs of improvement.
The fight started when he and a friend stepped outside to smoke and got into an argument with others in a group. One man in the group punched McClanahan and they all started walking down the street. The group again attacked McClanahan and his friend, who was not injured.
