Clover Park Tech graduation ceremony is Wednesday

Lakewood college will recognize more than 1,000 graduates

Clover Park Technical College will recognize the completion of 1,018 degrees, certificates and diplomas by students during the academic year at its graduation ceremony set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tacoma Dome.

The ceremony is open to the public.

The graduating class includes 10 international students, 215 armed forces veterans and 23 dependents of veterans.

The keynote speaker is Lakewood City Manager John Caulfield. Lisa Plair, the college's student government president, will serve as student speaker.

The college's Student Programs will launch the Wear it Forward program at the ceremony. It is an initiative aimed at gathering used graduation gowns for use by future graduates.
