Teen girls missing from Bonney Lake found safe

Staff writerJune 24, 2014

Two teen girls reported missing Saturday were found safe Tuesday morning and returned to their families, according to the Bonney Lake Police Department.

Melody Mason, 14, and Jayda Kropp, 13, allegedly left Melody’s house Saturday night after the girl’s grandfather took away her cell phone. They were last seen in the 7200 block of 190th Avenue East and rumored to have been hanging around Allen Yorke Park in the 7200 block of West Tapps Highway.

Officers did not say where they found the girls, only that they were unharmed.
