Registration to view Seahawks training camp begins Thursday

Staff writerJune 24, 2014

The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that 12 training camp practices will be open to the public.

Camp opens July 25 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton. People interested in attending one of the open practices must register at Seahawks.com beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and children 15 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Only fans who register will be allowed to attend practices.

A $7 transportation fee will be charged per person because fans will be required to park at an off-site location and shuttled to the VMAC before and after each practice. The VMAC parking lot will be closed to the public.

The Landing, a shopping center in Renton, will serve as the Seahawks Training Camp Parking and Transportation Center. Guests will receive transportation transfers and training camp passes upon check-in at the Seahawks Training Camp Guest Services Center, located at 840 N. 10th Place, Suite 307 D at The Landing.

Practice times, bus schedules and maps will be available at Seahawks.com.

Seahawks release Pulu

The Seahawks released defensive tackle Andru Pulu on Tuesday.

Pulu, from Federal Way, played at the University of Washington before transferring to Eastern Washington. He had signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Seattle signed veteran defensive tackle Kevin Williams on June 12, bolstering its depth at defensive tackle. Jesse Williams and Jordan Hill are also options at the position.
