Tacoma is due to be blasted with color on Saturday, June 28.

Tacoma hosts the "Run or Dye" color run Saturday at 9 a.m. Participants run the 3.1-mile course while being showered with what organizers call "safe, eco-friendly, plant-based cornstarch dye." There will be at least five dye stations.

A portion of the proceeds goes to the local Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound. The race is looking for volunteers. The race starts at the Tacoma Dome.

Entry is $57 or $52 for those registering as a team of four or more. Registration is open at runordye.com.
