Olympic National Forest Road 22, also known as Donkey Creek Road, will be closed for repairs between U.S. Highway 101 (milepost 0) and mile post 8 Tuesday. Forest officials made this announcement Thursday morning.

The Pacific Ranger District will be performing road pavement repairs beginning Friday, with the full road closure planned for Tuedsday. The repairs are expected to be completed and normal traffic restored by Wednesday.

Forest visitors can bypass the work by using Forest Road 2220 (Newbury Creek Road) during the closure period, according to a forest news release.

For more information, contact the Pacific Ranger District office in Quinault, at 353 South Shore Road, or call 360-288-0203.
