Memorial service set for Tacoma toddler allegedly killed by father

Staff writerJuly 2, 2014

A memorial ceremony for 3-year-old Terrence Green is set for Tuesday in Tacoma.

Terrence died June 23, from injuries prosecutors say he suffered when his father beat him, as punishment for struggling with potty training.

32-year-old Kingsa McKnight pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the boy’s death, and awaits trial.

The memorial service will be 1 p.m. at 5102 N. Mance St.

Associated Ministries holds the brief worship services, called moments of blessing, in an attempt to reclaim places where homicides have happened.
