Jazz under the PLU stars

Starting next Thursday jazz aficionados can take in some of the best Northwest talent for free and enjoy late summer evenings at the same time, thanks to Pacific Lutheran University’s 16th annual Jazz Under the Stars series. Every Thursday prime local jazz artists play in the outdoor amphitheater outside the Mary Baker Russell Music Center, with free coffee and the Keck Observatory open for star-gazing after some shows. Gig Harbor art walk

Museum of Glass free anniversary day

The Museum of Glass turns 12 this Saturday, and will celebrate with free entry for children 12 and under (with a paid adult), plus $2 off admission for anyone who wears 12th Man Seahawks gear. Toy Boat Theatre does "Maids"

After a couple of years hiatus, Toy Boat Theatre (last seen in a Spaceworks residency on Martin Luther King Jr. Way) is back in action with "Maids," Jean Genet’s infamous play based on a true 1933 story of two Paris sisters who murder their mistress, amid plenty of sexual jealousy.
