Tacoma police investigating woman’s death

Staff writerJuly 4, 2014

Tacoma police are investigating the death of a woman found at her Tacoma home Friday afternoon as a homicide. But they aren’t releasing details about what might have caused her death because it is an active investigation, said Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Loretta Cool.

The woman was found by coworkers who went to her residence on the 1100 block of Highland Parkway across from Pearl Street about 1:40 p.m. to check on her. When they arrived, the door was open. They went inside and found her dead, Cool said.

The department’s criminal investigation division is investigating the death.
