Panorama Democrats host forum Tuesday for primary candidates

Staff writerJuly 7, 2014

The Panorama Democratic Study Group plans a forum Tuesday [July 8] in Lacey for a few Democratic and independent candidates on the Aug. 5 ballot. But few candidates have agreed to speak at the public event is at 1:30 p.m. at the Panorama Auditorium, 1670 Circle Loop SE.

Independent candidate Jennifer Ferguson of University Place, who is running against U.S. Rep. Denny Heck, is scheduled to speak. So is Heck’s campaign manager, Phil Gardner. One of three candidates for the district 2 position for Thurston Public Utility District also is speaking, according to study group spokesman Bob Walker.

Most races including for Legislature have two or fewer candidates, which ensures all advance to the November general election.
