Tacoma man charged in child porn case

Staff writerJuly 10, 2014

Pierce County prosecutors have charged a Tacoma man suspected of posting child pornography on a social media account.

John Clements, 42, was charged with three counts of possession of images depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He has yet to be arraigned.

Police received a tip in March 2013 that Clements had posted several images of child pornography on his Tumblr account.

Detectives served a search warrant at his home in July 2013 and seized his computer, two laptops and cell phone.

At least six images were found showing children engaged in sex acts, according to charging papers.
