Tacoma Farmers Market, Broadway location

Address: Broadway, between Ninth and Eleventh streets

Market day: Thursday

Market hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Market season: May 21-Oct. 15

Market days: Saturday, Wednesday

Market season: Saturday year round, Wednesday: July 15-Oct. 14

Features: Only food and crafts grown or produced on the island, fresh produce and other farm products; nursery stock; packaged foods; baked goods ; kid’s activities.

Olympia Farmers Market

Market days: Thursday through Sunday

Market hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Market season: Now through Oct. 31 (open Saturdays and Sundays in November and December)

Features: Open air, some covered areas. More than 100 vendors selling fresh produce; nursery stock; prepared foods; smoked and raw meats; two bakeries; jam vendors; fresh salsa and pasta sauces; live music; face painting and balloon artists. Events include a jazz festival and children’s weekend.
