War is hell, and hellraisers deserve equal justice

U.S. military members who show contempt for the rule of law by committing atrocities are unworthy of sympathy. But any American who agrees to fight for his country is as worthy as any civilian to seek protection under that same rule of law. That includes former JBLM soldier Calvin Gibbs, who returns to court this week.
