Join an estimated 1,000 volunteers for July 5th Cleanup at Long beach
If you are going to be at Long Beach to celebrate the Fourth of July, plan on sticking around the next day.
You can join an estimated 1,000 volunteers who take part in the annual July 5th Cleanup. People are needed to collect and remove fireworks fallout and other marine debris.
The cleanup starts at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at all major beach approaches on the Long Beach Peninsula. To learn more and sign up, visit the CoastSavers Web site at www.coastsavers.org/july5 or the Grass Root Garbage Gang Web site at www.ourbeach.org.
