CommentsTyler Farrar, native of Wenatchee and the only Washingtonian to race in the Tour de France, will speak Wednesday in Seattle.
Farrar will show a video as he talks about riding the Tour and also will hold an autograph session.
Erik Moen, a physical therapist and an authority on bicycle biomechanics, will serve as host. He will talk about Farrar’s early years racing at the Seward Park Criterium and his climb to his current position as part of Team Garmin-Slipstream in the Tour de France and other high-profile races around the world.
The 25-year-old has been a professional cyclist since 2003. In addition to numerous stage wins in races here in the United States and across the world, Farrar also was a member of the U.S. World Championship Road Team in 2007.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for the event, to be held at Magnuson Park Theater, 7110 62nd Ave. N.E., Seattle.
General admission tickets are available for $15 at www.brownpaper tickets.com and at the door while supplies last.
