Orcas Island has been named one of the best islands to live on, according to Islands magazine. One of the gems of the San Juans islands, Orcas was listed sixth in the magazine’s July/August issue. It’s also the only island not considered a warm-weather destination.

• Vanua Levu, Fiji.
• Kangaroo Island, Australia.
• Eleuthera, Bahamas.
• Orcas Island.
• Singapore.
• Kauai, Hawaii.
• Ambergris Caye, Belize.
• Gozo, Malta.
