Audubon talk focuses on tools for spying on birds

THE NEWS TRIBUNE
Jim Danzenbaker, sales manager for Kowa Optics, and Jim Ullrich, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited, will talk to the Tahoma Audubon Society about the best optics for birding.

The presentation will be Dec. 12 at the Tacoma Nature Center, 1919 S. Tyler St., Tacoma. Refreshments will be offered at 7:15 p.m., followed by the society’s meeting at 7:30 p.m. and then the presentation.

Danzenbaker and Ullrich will discuss the questions you need to ask yourself about your own optics usage, delve into the technical terms used in the optics world and, finally, the best ways to test optics, said a news release from the society.

The workshop will help participants make better choices when purchasing new optics and how to make the most effective use of current optics.
