Northwest Trek will shift to winter hours on Nov. 3

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park will begin its winter operating hours on Nov. 3. The park will be open Fridays through Sundays and on select holidays through Feb. 12.

The park will open at 9:30 a.m. those days. The first tram will leave at 10:30 a.m., and the last tram will depart at 3 p.m.

Northwest Trek will be open on several additional days this winter: Nov. 10 and 11 for Veterans Day, then daily from Dec. 26 to Jan. 4 for the school holiday break and Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The park will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Northwest Trek is a 723-acre wildlife park operated by Metro Parks Tacoma. It is 35 miles southeast of Tacoma off Highway 161. For more information, call 360-832-6117 or visit www.nwtrek.org.
