THE NEWS TRIBUNE
Published: August 5th, 2008 01:00 AM
DaVita Inc., the second-largest U.S. operator of kidney dialysis centers, said second-quarter profit fell 24 percent from a year earlier when the company had a one-time gain from ending a supply agreement.

Net income declined to $95 million, or 90 cents a share, from $125 million, or $1.17, a year earlier, when DaVita reported its one-time gain, the El Segundo, Calif.-based company said Monday. DaVita has accounting operations in Tacoma.
