HIRES/PROMOTIONS awards/ recognitions

BANKING/FINANCE

PC Bank Home Loans of Puyallup has recently hired Jason Holmes as a project development manager/loan officer. He will develop programs to enhance communications and services for the home loan team and will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining key relationships within the real estate market. Holmes has been with the company since December 2004 as a loan officer specializing in programs and services to accommodate first-time home buyers and real estate investors.

Columbia Bank has announced recent promotions. Kate Reynolds has been promoted from branch manager to assistant vice president and branch manager at 176th Street and South Meridian in Puyallup. She will continue to manage the branch’s overall operations, as well as continuing to produce and maintaining her own loan portfolio. Reynolds has more than 12 years of banking experience and began her career with Columbia Bank in 1999.

Kat St. Pierre has recently been promoted from assistant vice president and human resources officer to vice president and human resources officer. She will manage the benefits and compensation administration for Columbia Bank, as well as lead the junior staff in the human resources department. St. Pierre has been in the human resources field for more than 10 years and has been with the bank for more than four years, overseeing employee relations and compliance. She graduated with honors from the University of Puget Sound with a bachelor’s degree in comparative sociology.

Greg Matthews has returned to Normandy Mortgage in Burien. He started his mortgage career in 1995 with Normandy Mortgage and has returned after a few years working for banks. Matthews graduated from Washington State University in 1990 with a degree in business with an emphasis in finance. He is a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and also teaches a bi-weekly seminar on helping new home buyers purchase their homes.

HEALTH CARE

The Washington Healthcare Forum, a statewide coalition of physicians, hospitals, health plans, and employers, has appointed Abbi Kaplan as its first executive director. She will focus the forum’s efforts on innovative private market and public policy solutions to counter the challenges facing our health care system. Kaplan holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in psychology from the University of Nebraska. She also has more than 20 years of experience in health care communications, issue management and public affairs. The American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter has announced new board members: Kenyon Luce, attorney with Luce and Associates, P.S.; Daniel Russ, chief information officer of the Washington State Military Department and staff judge advocate for the Western Air Defense Sector located at McChord Air Force Base; and Carlene Joseph, vice president of military relations and sales development for Harborstone Credit Union.
