Dwyer Pemberton & Coulson, P.C., Certified Public Accountants of Tacoma, has announced that Ed Ramos has become a shareholder as of Jan. 1. Ramos has more than 10 years of public accounting experience and one year in private industry.

ENGINEERING

BERGER/ABAM Engineers Inc. of Federal Way has announced the addition of staff.

Miranda DiMurro has been hired as a civil engineer working with the firm’s off-shore group on the modular hybrid pier project for the U.S. Navy and the composite concrete cryogenic tank for liquefied natural gas storage study for multiple energy companies. She recently received her bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.

Benjamin Pesicka has been hired as a civil engineer and is working with the firm’s waterfront group on the container terminal development project for the Sociedad Portuaria del Norte S.A. in Barranquilla, Colombia. He received his bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Washington.

Catrina Walter has joined the company as a civil engineer and is working on the firm’s modular hybrid pier project for the U.S. Navy and the composite concrete cryogenic tank for liquefied natural gas storage study for multiple energy companies. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Omar Dorzi has joined Franciscan Medical Group’s Northwest Vascular Center, which has offices in Auburn and Federal Way. He has a special interest in endovascular surgery, including carotid, aortic and peripheral intervention. Dorzi received a degree in medicine from the University of Jordan Medical School in Amman, Jordan, and completed residencies at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore and at University of Illinois Metro Group Hospitals in Chicago. He also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.
