This has been a week of scheming for Seahawks fans.
What kind of offense will net the most comfortable recliner? Who will handoff the best nachos? Most important: Where is the biggest high-def TV?
It’s the annual vetting of the Super Bowl parties. And if the party you’re hosting scores high, prepare for an influx of six-pack- carrying rabble-rousers. Forget Deflategate. This is Inflategate.
That’s what’s happening to David Jones this week.
“We started at 10. Now we’re at 27 and counting,” Jones said of the ever-expanding party he’s hosting.
You can’t blame Jones’ friends. Or his friends’ friends. Jones and his wife, Lorri, are the co-founders and owners of the Blazing Onion burger restaurant chain.
But Jones is making an offer few other party hosts can: He’s inviting anyone whose gathering has outgrown their house to contact one of his six restaurants. “We’re putting that out there in case anybody is in the same situation. We’ll find room for them.”
If you prefer the conviviality of your fellow 12th man, we have compiled a list of some local restaurants and watering holes that are going the extra yard for Super Bowl 49. Undoubtedly we missed a few (although we did ask readers for their picks), so check in with your favorites if you don’t see them here.
