• The annual Gig Harbor Garden Tour is in its final day and includes seven gardens, vendors and demonstrations. The tours benefits the local literacy program and is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. The self-guided walking tour explores residential gardens. Sue Goetz will be speaking Sunday. Tickets — $25 — are available at Ace Hardware, The Garden Room, Rosedale Gardens Nursery, Wilco Farm Store and Wild Birds Unlimited, all in Gig Harbor. • Boston Harbor Garden Tour is a self-guided tour of six gardens with an artisan corner featuring work of local artists and a plant sale offering cuttings from local flower beds. The tour starts at the Shipwreck Corner at the entrance to the neighborhood and is a fundraiser for the upkeep of the Shipwreck Corner garden, including installation of a sprinkler system and replacement of an old display boat. Purchase tickets the day of the tour at the Shipwreck Corner or the Boston Harbor Marina. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call360-943-3388

It’s that time of year for the annual Tour de Pierce, a summer bicycle ride through central Pierce County for fitness and fun, promoting bicycle awareness and safety. The ride begins at the Gold Parking lot of the Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup and winds through Puyallup, Sumner and adjacent farmlands. Event begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. If you’re a car fan and are in for a road trip, head out to Mason County Historical Society Car Show in Shelton. It features all makes and models of antiques, classics, rods, trucks and motorcycles. Proceeds benefit the Historical Society. Hours are 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the Mason County Historical Society Museum, 427 W. Railroad Ave., Shelton. It is free and open to the public.
