There’s still time to take in the spectacular Zoo Lights display at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, 5400 N. Pearl St., Tacoma. If you couldn’t make it before the holidays, this is the final weekend to view the colorful exhibits. Hours are 5-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $10 at the gate, free for kids 2 and younger.
Step out of the rain, wind and cold to take in the “Lavish: A Festive Victorian Holiday” grand floral display at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, 316 S. G St., Tacoma. Featured flowers include poinsettias, amarylis, paperwhite narcissus, poinsettia baskets and cymbidium orchids. Hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $3 donation.
Post Hangover Review Local bands will be playing at 8 p.m. Saturday at Bob’s Java Jive, 2102 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma. $5 cover charge.
Award-winning composer Maria Newman will be joined by violist Scott Hosfeld and flutist Hall Ott performing music in a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Capitol Rotunda in Olympia.
