I was looking for something sweet and praying for a couple quick outs when Roberto Petagine homered and closed the gap, 5-4.
Thankfully, that was the final score.
My final bite was a $5.75 Shishkaberry – skewered strawberries and bananas covered in milk chocolate.
Good thing the game didn't go extra innings. Most concessions stands were barren by the middle of the 8th and I've had enough stadium food to last me through the All-Star break.
Never miss a local story.
And not one garlic fry all day. Not a bad score card, if you ask me.
(By the way, News Tribune sportsblogger Corey Brock's banana remains uneaten next to his laptop.)
