The Associated Press reports from Olympia:
A new law will allow more Washington brewpubs to sell their products in to-go containers. Customers will be able to fill up and take home the half-gallon glass jugs known as growlers, a step that was previously prohibited in some businesses under liquor control laws.
The change should allow customers to more easily enjoy small-batch and seasonal beers that aren't bottled, said Arlen Harris, the Issaquah's Brewhouse's head brewer and director of the Washington Brewers' Guild.
"They'll have a pint, and if they like it, they'll fill the jug and then hit the road," Harris said.
