You've just emptied 33 1.5-liter jugs of Carlo Rossi wine. What are you going to do next? Build furniture and light fixtures, of course.
Seattle artist Jay Blazek, who has created large-scale installations such as the Festival of Lights at the Seattle Art Museum, didn't drink all that wine, but he built furniture and light fixtures from empty jugs. His commissioned creations for the winemaker's Jug Simple collection of furniture include the Chihuley-esque Chardonnay Chandelier and the bachelorific Cabernet Couch.
These, along with the Burgundy Bookshelf, the Rhine Reading Lamp, the Piasano Plasma TV Stand and the Sangria Surround Sound System will be on view at the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle, July 28-29.
