The new owners of 21 Commerce, the downtown martini bar and Asian-fusion restaurant, are planning lunch service. General manager Bryce Schierenbeck told me today that he and executive chef Donnie Wong will roll out changes in about six to eight weeks.
New hours will be 11 a.m.-2 a.m., with lunch transitioning into dinner later in the afternoon, Schierenbeck said.
Wong, who's been with 21 Commerce since it opened in 2003, said, "I still want to stick with pan-Asian cuisine because that's what I'm used to doing and that's what people are used to around here." But he said he's also had requests for steaks and chicken entrees so he's planning to add some of those. He also said he'll mix in Southwestern and Mediterranean flavors.
The new owners are the folks behind Maggie O'Toole's Nightclub in Lakewood.
