Pizza chains like to talk about how many more toppings they deliver. Puget Sound Pizza, downtown Tacoma's little pizza parlor that could, is working on delivering more seating, longer hours, bigger volume and better consistency.
That'll boost his square-footage from 950 to 2,250. Seating capacity will increase to 60. Higgins said he'll install a walk-in refrigerator. He said he's in the process of obtaining a cocktail permit from state liquor honchos.
Also look for extended hours, possibly until midnight.
"The neighborhood is actually developing to the point that it can support a business that stays open past 8 o'clock," Higgins said.
Higgins said he starts paying rent in October, so look for an October inauguration. A Halloween grand opening is in the works, he said.
