Dining Out For Life (April 25)All you have to do is dine out tomorrow to raise money for the Pierce County AIDS Foundation. About 60 local restaurants are participating in the annual nationwide event. A quarter of your bill will be donated to the foundation. Mount Rainier Spring Wine Tasting and Beer Festival (April 27)The fourth annual wine and beer festival is this weekend. This year's festival features wine and chocolate pairings. Chocolates from Brix, Dove and Emily's will be served alongside wines from Hoodsport, Madsen Family, Mill Lane, Scatter Creek and more. Gig Harbor Beer Festival (May11)The second annual beer festival is in two weeks. This year's event is advertising double the number of brewers, which will be good news to anyone who didn't get beer last year after the event ran out. A press release acknowledged last year's crowding. Said organizer John Fosberg in the press release, “and the folks at Uptown were extremely helpful in allowing us to find ways to make more room for everything this coming year. SAVE THE DATE - beer events this summer: The Tacoma Craft Beer Festival recently announced a bigger venue for Tacoma's largest annual beer festival. Mark your calendar - Sept. 7 at Cheney Stadium.
