In four years, they've overcome a fire and upgraded from a cramped warehouse location to a sprawling tap room and brew facility. Their beer has garnered attention and critical acclaim well beyond this region. 7 Seas Brewing Co. in Gig Harbor on Saturday will celebrate four years in the brew business with local bands, food and ice cold 7 Seas brews.
Their anniversary would have been January this year if a devastating fire had not knocked out their fledgling brew operation in January 2009. Six months later that year, they reopened and since have been on an upward trajectory. Brewers/owners Mike Runion and Travis Guterson operated out of a space with a tiny taproom in a building behind the Inn a Gig Harbor. This year, they moved operations to downtown Gig Harbor.
