The gravy on the floor, the mashed potatoes under the table, cranberry sauce spilled all over the counter. Thanksgiving cleanup has to be the least favorite part of Thanksgiving.
So skip it.
Let someone else do the heavy lifting for Thanksgiving (Nov. 26 this year) and dine out at one of these Tacoma-area restaurants. You’d better make reservations now because space fills up fast the closer it gets to Thanksgiving and you’ve only got two weeks until turkey day.

Ben Dew’s Clubhouse Grill: The Tacoma restaurant will serve a plated Thanksgiving dinner until 8 p.m. The plated dinner comes with all the trimmings and is $17.50 for adults, or $15.50 for the senior portioned plate. Gateway Cottage: This Parkland neighborhood restaurant will serve plated dinners from 1-7 p.m. Reservations are a must. The plated dinners include a traditional turkey dinner, a ham dinner and a salmon dinner (all $26.95) and a prime rib dinner for $29.95. Every meals is served with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls and more. All entrees also served with pumpkin pie. Hub Restaurants: The Tacoma and Gig Harbor locations of the Hub will serve Thanksgiving specials, as well as a limited Hub menu. The Thanksgiving dinner plate ($12 kids; $20 adults) will come with all the fixings. There’s also a Thanksgiving pizza, topped with gravy, turkey, stuffing, potatoes and a cranberry drizzle. Johnny’s Dock Restaurant and Marina: The waterside restaurant on the Foss Waterway will serve a traditional plated Thanksgiving dinner, as well as prime rib, salmon or shrimp or crab Louie salad. Lobster Shop: The Ruston Way restaurant will have an a la carte and entree menu from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Reservations are a must. A traditional plated Thanksgiving meal including roast turkey, vanilla bean whipped sweet potatoes, brown butter mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, apple and dried cherry stuffing, Brussels sprouts and cranberry orange relish will be served ($27, with discounts for children). National Park Inn at Longmire: Head to Mt. Rainier’s Nisqually entrance for a Thanksgiving buffet served from noon- 6 p.m. Prices are $13.95 for kids 10 and younger or $23.95 for adults.
