Two local comics and the fiancée of Seahawks punter Jon Ryan are mixing it up with a trio of Boston-centric comedians leading up to Super Bowl 49.
Called “Enemy Territory,” the pair of short comedy features will run on ESPN “SportsCenter“ on Friday and Saturday.
In the short films, comedians and Boston natives Nick DiPaolo, Gary Gulman and Max “No Sleeves” Weisz are talking football in a Patriots-themed sports bar when in walk Nick Thune and Jeff Dye, two Puget Sound-based comedians and comedian/author Sarah Colonna, who is engaged to Ryan.
Naturally, the two camps razz each other over Deflategate and which team has the better quarterback.
“With the sports world focused on the Super Bowl and all of the news surrounding it, we see ‘Enemy Territory’ as a way to break up the serious talk for a few minutes,” said Glenn Jacobs, an ESPN senior coordinating producer.
