Monday book reading to celebrate life of Karina Robertson

Karina Robertson was a Gig Harbor High School student, active in Young Life and the varsity swim team, when she was diagnosed with leukemia at age 14. When she needed a stem cell transplant, her sister Annika was a perfect match, giving her three more years of life.

Renowned Americana songwriter performs at Morso Saturday

Folk music is all about the lyrics, Kevin Fisher said, and the story that they tell. Fisher is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, who has sold songs to artists like Rascal Flatts and Uncle Kracker and also performs with his own band, Naked to the World. Fisher comes through Gig Harbor on Saturday, to perform as part of the “Americana” series at Morso Wine Bar at 8 p.m.
