We need a better response to threats of wild animals

There seem to be a lot more “lost pet” signs, posters and notifications than usual. I lost two Dachshund puppies last year from my fenced yard, and the Home Again Pet Rescuers — the people who monitor the chipped pets — are sending out three to six emails a week for our area.

As an economist, I have read with interest the stories regarding the changes in tolls. It appears that the state Transportation Commission and the Citizen Advisory Committee have not yet fully considered the possibility that an increase in tolls could decrease revenues.
