Appellation: Walla Walla Valley
Walla Walla native Matt Huse learned his winemaking craft at the vaunted Walla Walla Valley Community College enology program, graduating in 2003 and moving directly into the family business. Since then, he has been crafting some of the valley’s finest wines. This Syrah uses grapes from Les Collines and Blue Mountain vineyards and opens with aromas of black licorice, blackberry and black pepper, followed by flavors loaded with coffee, chocolate and black olive. (14.6 percent alcohol)
