Tacoma-based cybersecurity firm IID announced Friday it has expanded its leadership team with the addition of a former McAfee executive as the company’s first chief product officer.
Kelly Haggerty will be responsible for overall product strategy, overseeing development, releases and management of IID’s programs including IID’s threat intelligence management system, ActiveTrust.
“Since IID launched ActiveTrust just a half year ago, dozens of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies have connected to the platform, presenting new opportunities for product growth and innovation,” said IID CEO Lars Harvey in a news release.
For most of the past decade, Haggerty served as vice president of product at the computer security company McAfee Inc. In this role, he directed worldwide development and execution of the company’s security management platforms. Before McAfee, Haggerty served in executive management roles at a variety of companies, including Actiance and SurfControl.
“For businesses looking to secure themselves and their customers, the biggest challenge is cutting through the noise of all of the cyberthreat data, determining what is important to them, and then having that intelligence plug and play with any of their security appliances,” said Haggerty.
“ActiveTrust breaks these barriers, and that’s why I’m so excited to join IID to continue their long legacy of innovating ways to make the Internet a safer place,” he said.
