Sprint-RadioShack stores opening; jobs available throughout Northwest
From the ashes comes a new brand — Sprint-RadioShack — and the company is hiring to fill positions throughout the Northwest.
Sprint announced Thursday that it will double its company’s national footprint of company- owned stores with the opening Friday (April 10) of 1,435 Sprint-RadioShack stores.
The list includes 62 co-branded stores in Washington and Oregon.
Six of those stores are in the Tacoma area:
Other stores will open in Maple Valley, Kent and Auburn.
“The whole Seattle-Tacoma area, we consider that a top market for Sprint,” said Adrienne Norton, Sprint corporate communications manager, on Thursday.
“With the new RadioShack store network, recently acquired by General Wireless, Sprint is further investing in communities across the country,” the company stated in a release.
The stores, primarily branded as Sprint, will comprise RadioShack products and an exclusive selection of mobile devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S 6.
“With more stores, and including Boost and Virgin Mobile, we’re providing additional shopping opportunities and making it easier and more convenient for customers,” the company stated.
The company will be hiring to fill new positions at the co-branded stores. For more information and to apply, go to sprint.jobs.
