This fall, Tacoma Mall turns 50. To celebrate, The News Tribune will provide a look back to 1965, the year of the mall’s opening. If you were here then, we’d like to know the effect the mall had on you. Did you work at Tacoma Mall? Were you a shopper in 1965? What were your favorite stores? Did you attend your prom at the mall, or did you meet your sweetheart there? Did you have a birthday party at Farrell’s, and did you share that gigantic sundae with friends? Along with your memories, do you have any historic photographs that you would be willing to share? Has the mall become an important part of your life — or not?
