Those delicious morning buns are still available, but don’t go looking for a bagel at Starbucks.
As social media fill up with conspiracies and complaints about a bagel shortage at area stores, Starbucks spokeswoman Sanja Gould responded to an inquiry from The News Tribune.
“Starbucks stores are experiencing a temporary outage of plain, everything and multigrain bagels and are working to get them back in stock soon,” she wrote.
“We are working closely with suppliers to replenish our bagel assortment and apologize to our customers for this temporary inconvenience,” she said.
“We had a supplier quality issue,” Gould said Tuesday. “We are working as fast as we can to get bagels back.”
