Weyerhaeuser reported strong second-quarter results, though earnings per diluted share were down a few cents.
The company reported net second-quarter earnings this year of $157 million, up 18 percent from $133 million the same time last year. Earnings per diluted share fell from 26 cents last year to 21 cents this year.
Weyerhaeuser merged with Plum Creek Timber Co. in February. The company is moving its corporate headquarters from Federal Way to Seattle in mid-September.
