CommentsThe next release of 2000 U.S. Census data in March will include population, race and ethnicity numbers broken down to the local level.
For the first time ever on a census form, respondents were able to say that they were more than one race. In fact, they could mark as many racial categories as they wanted. (There were 63 different racial combinations.)
Are you of mixed race? If so, what did you mark on your census form?
As part of our continuing census coverage, The News Tribune wants to find individuals and families of mixed race to talk about how they classify themselves and what race means to their identity.
