A 31-year-old man whose wife died after he wrecked the motorcycle they were riding pleaded not guilty Tuesday to vehicular homicide.
Pierce County Superior Court Judge Kitty-Ann van Doorninck allowed Elmer Munsi Sibayan to stay free on the $10,000 bond he posted after his Friday arrest.
Puyallup police reported that Sibayan was driving a motorcycle Friday on North Meridian near the Fred Meyer Distribution Center with his wife, Rusel Pantua Sibayan, riding behind him.
Witnesses said Sibayan drove on the shoulder to pass cars and hit a Honda Accord turning left into the center lot. The motorcycle flipped over the car, according to court documents. Rusel Pantua Sibayan was thrown from the bike.
