Driver robbed while sitting in car in South Tacoma
Tacoma police were searching Tuesday for a man who pointed a gun at a woman in her car and robbed her in South Tacoma.
A woman said the man walked up to her car window, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. The robbery happened just after 9 a.m. in the 4500 block of South Washington Street.
The woman gave the robber some money and he fled west on South 45th Street.
He was described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, 5 feet 6 inches and 170 pounds. He wore a gray hat, white bandanna or cloth over his face, a bright red shirt and blue jeans, Fulghum said.
