Robber hits bank in Orting

THE NEWS TRIBUNE
Orting police were looking Wednesday for the man who robbed a KeyBank that afternoon.

A news release said the man, believed to be in his 20s, walked up to a teller at the KeyBank at 105 Calistoga St. E. and gave her a note saying he had a weapon and demanding money.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber then drove away in an older, dark-colored truck that had been parked outside the bank.

The man was wearing an orange shirt with camouflage pants and had short hair, a light beard and a scruffy appearance.

Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959 is offering a reward for information leading to the man’s arrest and conviction. Callers may remain anonymous.
